Today is Appreciate a Dragon day! Dragons have always brought wonder and awe to us through both literature and the big screen – Dragonheart, How to Train Your Dragon, The Hobbit, Pete’s Dragon, Eragon, Dragonslayer…. In literature, a lot of fairytale stories have brought us dragons, and authors everywhere bring us book series like The Dragonriders of Pern (Anne McCaffrey) and A Song of Fire and Ice (George RR Martin). You can even find them in popular games such as Spryo and Dungeons & Dragons. We’ve been fascinated by dragons and other mythical creatures for hundreds of years.
