Wordy Wednesday

That’s right, today is National Handwriting Day! It was established by the Writing Instrument Manufacturers Association in the late 70s (obviously to to get people to purchase pens, pencils and paper), and January 23rd was chosen because it is John Hancock’s birthday. He was the first person to sign the Declaration of Independence here in the states, so I would call that fairly significant 😉

In honor of today, get out your pen or your pencil and a piece of paper and write somebody a note, or fill out a card to someone and snail mail it. You can even do some journaling today. Lists are one of my favorite ways of journaling… here are a few I did in my Smash Book:

(That second one is obviously pretty old – Win8? Really?? LOL)

You could even do some creative writing with the help of some writing prompts – like these and these

Or… if you are a more visual person, just doodle 🙂

SO, get out your writing utensils and get to scribbling … remember the pen! Be the pen! And let your tangible creativity fly ♥
