Whoopee! Wednesday!

The power of the internet can be a wonderful thing – when you remember to use it. A few years ago, I went on an apple pie moonshine kick – a wonderful concoction of rum, everclear, apple juice, apple cider and cinnamon sticks… with a little vanilla vodka for that “a la mode” kick. We won’t discuss it any further than that. Suffice it to say, I won’t be making any more any time soon. However, that leaves me with loads of mason jars taking up precious cabinet space, and I’ve been banging my head trying to figure out what to do with them all. Then I realized I have the internet right at my fingertips and there are all sorts of crafty people out there.

Yes, my brain doesn’t always work as it should. Anyway, I began my search and look what I found!

These pin cushion jars are too freaking cute! We’ll just file this under things that make me wish I needed a pin cushion!

This one makes my heart flutter … we grill a lot. I’ll have to put the man on this because that little box that you’re supposed to light the matches with? Doesn’t 😛

Another practical use – survival candles. These would come in handy for hurricane season!

A spice jar rack? Yes please! Mr Husband? Get on that, thank you!

I’m liking this herb garden idea, too:

There are all kinds of lighting options you can make with jars as well. Have you repurposed any mason jars? I’d love to hear about it!
