Watercolor Wednesday
A couple of weeks ago, little packages started getting dropped on our front doorstep, delivered by the mailman or UPS, all addressed to my daughter – from Amazon. I thought “Oh no…. she’s discovered the convenience of online shopping!” I nonchalantly asked her about the contents of her latest little package (oh so innocently, of course, lol), and come to find out, she’d been purchasing things like art brushes and art pens, paints and trays… and even a pad of watercolor paper. We won’t talk about the fact that there’s a Hobby Lobby right across the street, lol. Anyway, she got all excited and started showing me her new items – things she’s added to the giant set of various art supplies I gave her for Christmas. And then she starts pulling out her artwork. She’s been practicing with watercolor pencils and brushes, and she’s actually pretty good with watercolors (I never was…), I was really impressed! She asked if anyone in our shop could digitally paint with watercolors, so we went looking!
Last week I had seen and commented on this layout by justpennys that she scrapped for the Either/Or Challenge last month… I LOVE her Koi!
My daughter immediately fell in love with all kinds of watercolor products from Jumpstart Designs… like these beautiful flowers:

and these fun papers from Fayette Designs:

PrelestnayaP has watercolor photomasks and templates:

And Natali Designs has this pretty watercolor alpha:

After spending… I don’t know how long LOL! … checking out products in the shop, my daughter happily skipped off to her room to start a new painting 🙂
