Thursday Threedom
I love to read, but I’m always so busy, I don’t have time to pick up an actual book. Thank goodness for Audible! I love my Audible account with a purple passion. I get 1 credit per month, so I “save up” until I have 3 credits and get trilogies ๐ If all the books in the trilogy aren’t released yet, I’ll put it on my wishlist for next time. I don’t like to wait, because then I have to reread what I already read before I can read the next one.
Do you know what I mean? Or am I alone here? lol
I have a “type”, as well as favorite authors, as most people do. And now that Hollywood has run out of ideas for movies, they’re turning to books more and more for the big screen. I’m not complaining! I know the “books are always better”, but I think it’s interesting to see how they’ve adapted it for the big screen. Here are 3 trilogies that were adapted for TV:
Mr Mercedes was turned in to a TV series, so of course we watched it… and then I discovered it was a trilogy. I didn’t realize that until we watched season 2, and now the title Finders Keepers makes a lot of sense, lol!
I’m a little behind the Stephen King times because Cell ticked me off. I did pick up Doctor Sleep (printed) and I started reading it, but I haven’t finished it yet ๐
The TV series, Midnight Texas, had me getting all 3 of the books that the show is based on by Charlaine Harris (who also writes the Sookie Stackhouse series – yes, I watched True Blood and read most of the books!)
And, last but not least, the TV show, Wayward Pines, was based on this trilogy by Blake Crouch:
So, there ya go. I told you I had a type LOL! What books have you read lately? If you have any suggestions, I’m all ears! I have credits waiting to be spent, hehehe!
