I really love browsing through our gallery. We have an amazing Creative Team and so many talented scrappers posting on our site! In addition to browsing our gallery, another thing I love is working with geometric shapes – especially circles. I love using them in my designs, on all sorts of craft projects and I LOVE seeing them on layouts!
Our designers make it super easy for you to include circles on your layouts. Today as I was browsing in the gallery, I found three stunning layouts that were created with templates that have CIRCLES on them.
This first layout is by one of our great CT Members, sylvia. She is one of our resident experts on creating minimalist pages. Even though sylvia used a bit busier template (see below), she stayed true to her minimalist style by using a monochromatic color scheme. I adore this layout, and especially love all of the circles in the background! The title down the right side is a nice balance to the circles.
Here are the templates that she used for this layout. Jen Yurko has made it easy to incorporate circles into your layouts, and even includes templates to help you create this beautiful circle background design! Play with them and have fun!

This next layout was created by Chaos Lounge. The round photos are cropped in close on the adorable faces of her fur babies. This is such a great layout, and another one that uses a monochromatic scheme to give the page a less busy feel. She’s definitely kept the focus on the cute fur baby photos!
So, if you plan to create a more minimalist layout, don’t be intimidated by busy or colorful templates. That’s why they’re called TEMPLATES…you get to choose the final result 🙂 These templates by LorieM Designs get you off to a great start with more circle photos!

Finally, I’ve chosen a layout by our talented CT Manager, Mother Bear. Julie is the queen of clustering and adding amazing shadows to her layouts. This layout is beyond stunning! I love the way she’s used a photo in her background. Her shadows on the circle photos lift them right off of the page. This layout could easily be mistaken for a traditional page. I can’t even tell you how much I love her clusters and shadow work. Her simple painted title is perfectly understated so that it doesn’t over power her layout.
Julie’s gorgeous layout was created with the templates below from Heartstrings Scrap Art. Heartstrings does an amazing job of creating templates that can be used both for “cluster queen” type layouts or minimalist/white space layouts.

So, next time you’re ready to scrap a layout, consider using circles on it. If you need help getting started, you’ll find LOTS of templates that can help kickstart your creativity!
