Tipster Tuesday: Resize & Rotate!
I see a lot of layouts in the galleries across the web, where a kit was used, and some of the elements look the same – same size, same orientation. To me, that just looks so wrong. Two flowers of the same color aren’t going to fall onto your paper scrapbook page the exact same way. No way. So my tip of the day – resize and rotate!
In my example, I’m using my I Hope You Dance kit. It has several flowers, and I’ve sized them pretty big:
Using these flowers as is doesn’t make for pretty clusters :/ I can’t even put them all around my frame… I don’t know yet if that’s what I want to do, but, just placing them initially, I’m not a happy cluster camper 😛
SO, time to resize! Here I’ve got all my clusters situated, but the flowers are all sitting in the same orientation:
So instead of leaving it like this, I’m going to tweak the flowers and give a few of them a little spin so they’re not all facing the same direction (I ended up tucking the dark flower at the top underneath the cream flower, too)
Giving the flowers a little twist makes your page a little more interesting & natural! I don’t have a photo to pop in this so I made it a quickpage and stuck it in the shop for you to download, if you’d like to have it. Just click here (no longer available)! Happy Scrapping ♥
