Wordy Wednesday – Never Forget
Two words. Never Forget. When I hear those words, memories of this date 18 years ago instantly come to my mind. I remember watching in horror as the planes were intentionally flown into the Twin Towers and the Pentagon, and the confusion we felt as another plane crashed in Pennsylvania. It was certainly a time that the world united as we watched, and a time that we will never forget.
September 11 has become a day of remembrance. It also seems appropriate to remember those that we’ve lost from the PBP family and the digi community. It’s been more than a year since we lost our dear friend, Kim Lichtfuss, owner of The Digichick (July 2018). Jill Walls lost her battle with pancreatic cancer almost a year ago (November 2018) and Julie Southern passed away on her 60th birthday (March 20, 2019). We also still feel the loss of Dawn Inskip and Amber Shaw, who were both designers in our shop at one time. We also lost a former CT member, Azeline (Magalie), late last year. There are probably others – I apologize for missing anyone else. Many of our team members and customers have lost spouses. They are all forever in our hearts and hopefully on our scrapbook pages. So much loss, but so many wonderful memories and designs.
Here are some layouts to help us NEVER FORGET these wonderful digi friends that we have recently lost.
The words, NEVER FORGET, are actually the foundation of our industry. Through scrapbooking, we preserve those memories that we never want to forget. Each page is a little snapshot of our lives that we cherish, and will lovingly remember each time we see the layout. So, whether we’re remembering the subject of the layout, the designer that created the kit or just a moment in time….scrapbooking will help you preserve your memories and remember today’s two words . . . NEVER FORGET.

Beautiful post today, Fayette. Thank you for remembering that fateful day … & thank you for remembering these lovely ladies that we have lost in the digiscrap community … yes, this is why we scrap — to remember!
