Tutorial Tuesday – Offset Titles #2
In last month’s Our Gal Friday x 2, Margaret asked for a tutorial on how Rebecca (hiddenartist) created the text for her siggy:
I’m sure there is more than one way to do this, but there is one method that’s SUPER easy!

This works for all font types at any size with any kerning & leading settings.
First, type out your text in a shade of black. This will be your “shadow” layer
Duplicate the text layer. This will be your “highlight” layer – change it to whatever color you want to use as your highlight color:
Duplicate your highlight layer and change it to whatever color you want to use as your “main” color.
Click on the bottom text layer (the shadow layer) and, using your arrow keys, nudge it to the right & down. I bumped mine to the right 5 times and down once:
Now click on the middle text layer (the highlight layer) and, again using your arrow keys, nudge it to the left. I bumped mine to the left 3 times:
That’s all there is to it! Again, this works with any font, so have fun 🙂
