Snow Wonderful by Oldenmeade at Pickleberrypop

Hello, and merry Christmas Eve to you! I hope you all are ready for the big day tomorrow and are able to spend time with friends and family this week. We’re keeping it quiet around here today with the man being sick (of all the times… lol), but are eagerly anticipating spending time together tomorrow, and hopefully he’ll be feeling better 🙂 Before the Christmas gets underway, let’s talk about paper for a few minutes. Papers are one of the fundamental building blocks of our scrapbook pages! They can be used in a variety of ways, as demonstrated by the gorgeous pages in our gallery!

For example, Caro uses strips of paper on her “You Are Loved” page:

You Are Loved

This gives her page a nice vertical flow and leads our eyes down to the adorable photo.

Anne PC uses blocks on her page for a wonderfully clean and minimal look:

A photo a day

The two squares contrast nicely with her photo shape and makes the page interesting.

chigirl uses strips of paper to create a ‘sunburst’ on her “Holly Jolly” page, which brings attention to the photo on the left … and then the flow naturally happens on to the right to the rest of the photos:

And on “Snow Wonderful“, Oldenmeade has used papers on her title to make it coordinate with the rest of her page:

Snow Wonderful

So papers can be just as versatile as elements and can help bring cohesion to your pages! Don’t be afraid to try something new with your paper stash, you just might be pleasantly surprised with the results 🙂

Happy Scrapping!
