Wordy Wednesday – Pick Strawberries Day!

Did you know that today is National Pick Strawberries Day? I didn’t think so. You really should look at your calendar more often, coz well, how do you know to celebrate if you don’t know about these wonderful and weird holidays? Seriously, you need to find a strawberry field and go pick some. They taste sooooo yummy right off of the plant – just a quick rinse and then pop them into your mouth. We were fortunate to take a trip to Austria years ago, and had one of my daughters with us. Her favorite food group is FRUIT. As we were driving along the Danube River between villages we saw huge fields of strawberries where you could go pick your own. So we pulled over and picked a couple of baskets of the best strawberries I’ve ever tasted. Now I want to go back! Lol, but I’ll have to settle for some local berries this year!

So, since we’re all going to be enjoying some strawberries, I thought I’d point you to a few products in the shop that feature those sweet little treats!

Jen Yurko has an adorable series called We Go Together Like that she has been adding to each month. We Go Together Like Peanut Butter & Jelly is perfect for your berry adventures.

She also has a fun little set of CU Doodles for use in your own designs, making kid’s lunch pages, or pages about making jam. You do know you can use CU designs on your on scrapbook pages, too…right? 🙂

LorieM has a Berry Sweet Kit that features our favorite fruit, strawberries!

DitaB has a beautiful set of fruits in her CU shop, but they would look just as beautiful on your PU Pages!

Now that I’ve shown you a few products, I thought it would be fun to help feed your font addiction. Here are two of my favorite “strawberry fonts”. They’re free to download for personal use! Just make sure you click on the download button for the FONT. Lol, sometimes there’s other stuff on the page.

To download this font, scroll down on the page and look for the blue –>pink gradient button that says FREE DOWNLOAD.

If you can’t go out and pick strawberries from a strawberry patch or field, at least you’ll be able to pick some strawberries in the shop or online. Enjoy!
