We’re happy to introduce our next Our Gal Friday to you!
My name is Irina. I’m an almost 40 years old and live in Russia with my husband. We do not have kids, so we live for each other. All the same, there are three little girls in my life. They are my sweet nieces, and I love them with all my heart.
I started designing at the summer of 2009. My first kit ‘Sweet baby’ was offered free to readers of my blog. It was such important event for me. Now I can not imagine my life without digital scrapbooking. I love reading, walking and traveling. I also like to spend my time with my husband, mom, sister and nieces. But also I have several pernicious habits: I go to bed very, very late; I spend too much time at my computer (sometimes I blame myself for this…); I take a long time to make a decision (sometimes).
We’re thrilled that you can find her designs at Pickleberrypop!

DESiGNER Q & A
What is your favorite color (or color combination) that you just love to design with?
I love blue and yellow colors in ‘real’ life. As for digital scrapbooking: I love different autumn color combinations (especially warm and natural colors).
If you had a choice between two superpowers, being invisible or flying, which would you choose?
Being invisible is very interesting and useful sometimes, but I’d prefer flying. Flying as a bird is full of freedom and fantastic emotions, I think 🙂
Do you work outside the home?
No. Now digital scrapbooking is my hobby and my work.
What would your perfect vacation entail?
I would like to spend one month (or maybe two) in the cozy beach bungalow. Now this is my little dream.
What would your perfect Saturday be like?
A mini-trip with my husband.

Scrapbxl (Stéphanie)
I’ve been scrapbooking for a few years now and I love it. I think it’s a great hobby and it brings out my (very) little artistic side.
I live in Brussels (capital of Belgium), and I’ve been working as a librarian in a high school for 20 years! I love the contact with teenagers even if it’s sometimes tiring! Plus it keeps me young. LOL
On the heart side, my man has been with me for 18 years and we have 2 adorable boys aged 16 and 11.
When I’m not scrapping I’m busy in the garden (having a garden in the city – what a luxury), I love to watch my flowers grow.

CREATiVE TEAM MEMBER Q & A
What is your favorite color (or color combination) that you just love to scrap with?
I love orange, it’s really my favorite color. So I like autumn very much, because in this season orange is king (especially pumpkins). So I’m at the party when September comes and I know that the kits will be on this theme and full of orange colors.
If you had to be shipwrecked on a deserted island, but all your human needs—such as food and water—were taken care of, what two items would you want to have with you?
First of the books (mostly thrillers). Second my computer so I can keep scrapping. You can’t change even on a deserted island.
If you had a choice between two superpowers, being invisible or flying, which would you choose?
Not flying, I’m afraid of heights! Why not be invisible, it would allow you to observe animals more easily in the forest for example.
What was the last gift you gave someone?
Beer! Here in Belgium we love it, and we make very good beer. My favourite (and the one I recently offered to a French friend): Orval. It’s an abbey beer, still made by the monks.
If you could compare yourself with any animal, which would it be and why?
A dolphin, I love water and swimming. I feel really good in this element and I can stay in it for hours…
