We’re happy to introduce the next Our Gal Friday to you!
My name is Olya, I am 39 years old, born in Ukraine. I have been living with my family in City Donetsk all my life until we moved to Kiev 6 years ago. I love walks, bike rides, to see new places, photography and… to sleep well. I like to combine bike rides or walks with looking for new places for photoshoots. Today we had a 13 km walk! I have one son, 11 years old, and I am shocked that when we moved to Kiev he was a little boy, and now he is a teenager! Half of his life was spent in Kiev. Time flies so fast! I’ve been digital scrapbooking since 2008, when he was born, so I can always know how many years I am a designer. And I still love it! All of my designs are always related to my life. I make photobook templates, because we print photobooks for our family. I make kits to capture a piece of our life. It is much more than just a design 🙂

Do you work outside the home?
Yes, I am a photographer in my real life, so a part of my job is outside and part of it is in my computer
What is the funniest thing that has happened to you?
Ooooohhhh! You will not believe! But it happened right now while I answered these questions. We chatted with a friend, and she said she was tired. And I wrote back: “This is a banal lack of sleep.” But the letter “B” did not print on my keyboard …………. Soooo confused but… lol
What’s your favorite thing to design?
I like to design kits. They always have some special element which is associated with my precious memories or simply significant as a symbol. For example, the kit “Cherry-berry” appeared due to the fact that the husband and son themselves collected these cherries from the tree. And yes, these are exactly the cherries they collected. The kit “Draw your travel” appeared when I started to draw with watercolor paints and it contains my first watercolor image. I also love to create my photobook-templates. Especially with text-blocks, because I love to save small stories about photos in my books!
Everyone has a good app idea. What’s yours?
I want that tablecloth from a fairy tale, on which delicious food appears by itself, and there is no need to cook or buy it! I want it even more than invisibility! And I know this is not an app. But let me dream.
What was the last gift you gave someone?
Lol, it is a funny story. My friend invited me as a guest to her home. The back story is that we have our joint recollection of a vacation in the Carpathians last year, where we fried potatoes and admired the mountains. So … I came to her with potatoes and repeated this wonderful moment! We only lacked the mountains outside the window. She remember this like her best experience after our vacation 🙂

Hello! I am Barbora, pacina in the world of digiscrap, and I live in the Czech Republic. I’ve been enjoying digital scrapbooking for 15 years now, and I still try to get better, so that my pages put smile onto faces and into hearts. I am on multiple creative teams, and I’m really happy when they like my pages. Apart from digiscrap, I am a mother of three children and wife. In my free time, I like to read – I love my kindle :-). I like nature, cycling, swimming and cooking. I am addicted to some tv series (like Mash 4077, Grey’s anatomy, Game of Thrones…and many more) that I watch with my family. Family means everything to me. I hope that digital scrapbooking will stay around for a long time and will make us all happy.

My name is JiĹ™ina , known on the Internet as jirsev. I’m 69 years old. I’m divorced, I’ve lived with a wonderful boyfriend for 21 years. I live in the Czech Republic in the region of beautiful Moravia in the very center of Europe. I have two grown-up sons. My life’s happiness is in my grandchildren. Jiřà is 28 years old and MarkĂ©ta is 22 years old – both are children from son JiĹ™Ă. Granddaughter Tereza, 12 years, and Ella, 7 years, are children of son Radek and you see them sometimes in my layouts. My biggest hobby is digital scrapbooking, which I discovered by accident 10 years ago. My other hobbies are gardening, photography, knitting and crocheting.

If you had to be shipwrecked on a deserted island, but all your human needs—such as food and water—were taken care of, what two items would you want to have with you?
I just need a good book and lots of dark chocolate
If you could compare yourself with any animal, which would it be and why?
I’d definitely be a dog. I’m reliable and very responsible. I’m willing to do the first, the last for my friends. But at the same time, I’m too trusting, and sometimes it turns against me.
What would your theme song be every time you walked into a room?
Once Upon a Time in the West
Where would you go in a time machine?
I would return to the day before my parents died. I didn’t have time to tell them that much.
Are you married? With or without kids?
I’m divorced. I have 2 adult sons and 4 grandchildren. I have a good friend, we’ve been together for 21 years.
