We’re happy to introduce our next Our Gal Friday to you!
My name is Sheri and I live in Utah, USA. I am 58 years old and retired from “working life”. I started digi-scrapping about eleven years ago, then after about a year on creative teams, I was invited to become a designer at PBP. I have been designing for almost ten years now, and I am lucky to be a part of the PBP family. I have three grown children (a son and two daughters) who are grown and have families of their own. Fortunately, designing allows me to work from home so I can spend a lot of time with my kids and three grandsons. My youngest daughter and her husband just bought a new ski-lodge-style home near Calgary, Canada, so I am hoping to go visit this summer. I am used to them coming home for a visit two or three times a year, but with Covid, it’s been more than a year since we’ve seen them. Spring is just around the corner and I am looking forward to spending more time outdoors. It has been a long year for all of us, so some sunshine and fresh air are just what we need!

If you could have three wishes, what would they be?
That my children and grandchildren would be able to live their lives without experiencing the fear, and the insensitive behavior that we are currently witnessing in the world these days. That they will know true peace. (I’d love to go back to the days of NO social media.)
That they will never know a moment that they aren’t loved.
That I could figure out how to be more productive!
Are you a morning person or a night owl?
I used to be a night owl. Now I’m neither. LOL
Do you have any pets?
Do grandchildren count?
What is the one thing you refuse to share?
I’ll share anything, but I’d love to have a bathroom that is off limits to boys!
If you could know the absolute and total truth to one question, what question would you ask?
Why doesn’t anyone sell bras in “left boob” and “right boob” sizes? LOL! Just kidding. I would want to know what my past lives were.

Mother Bear (Julie)
I discovered digital scrapbooking late in 2008, while searching for ways to edit and enhance photos for paper scrapbooking and immediately fell in love with it. So, I purchased a computer and PhotoShop CS3 and jumped right in, teaching myself to not only use PhotoShop but the computer as well. I joined PBP in December 2008, as it was the only site that bothered to answer any questions I had about learning digital scrapbooking. It has been the only digi home I have ever had. I answered a CT call for PBP late in 2009 (my first ever) and in 2010 I was asked to be CT Manager when the CT Manager left. After all this time I still thoroughly enjoy working and creating layouts with the variety of styles the designers at PBP have. Living by myself and working part time gives me quite a bit of free time to pursue my love of creating layouts and managing the CT team of 20 talented members. I am a very private person who loves to walk at 5 am most mornings, a perfectionist, a neat freak, a control freak, and I totally enjoy my own company.

If you could compare yourself with any animal, which would it be and why?
A tiger, because I can roar like one, be protective of my cubs, and be fierce if I need to be.
Are you married? With or without kids?
I was married at 17 for 37 years to my childhood sweetheart, and I’ve been widowed for the last 11 (almost 12) years. I have 3 grown up children and 5 grandchildren.
If you could make a rule for a day and everyone has to follow it, what would it be?
To use common sense. I really have a low tolerance for stupid people.
If you could know the absolute and total truth to one question, what question would you ask?
Is there anything after death? I believe there must be something for us beyond this life, but I would love to know for sure.
What do you think of garden gnomes?
I think they are creepy and weird. (like owls)

Anny-Libelle (Anja)
My name is Anja, known in the world of digital scrapbooking as Anny-Libelle or Anny for short. I live with my husband in a small town in the middle of Germany. We have two children, a son and a daughter. They are grown up and no longer live with us. Our son has already started his own little family and our daughter is moving into a apartment with her boyfriend. The greatest sunshine is our little grandson who is now 2 years old and who is everyone’s darling. Since 2008, the digital design of creative layouts has been one of my favorite hobbies. I also love to take photos, so I was able to combine these two things really well. I like to edit my photos with Lightroom and create my layouts with Photoshop. I am allowed to scrap for some designers on their creative teams, and I really love them all. 🙂 But my life is not all about free time. * lol * I work full time in a real estate office. In spring and summer I like to relax afterwards in our garden or meet friends for line dancing or walking. I love to cook (and to eat) and I enjoy drinking a glass of good wine.

What is your favorite color (or color combination) that you just love to scrapwith?
I think light blue and light brown tones go so well together. I love kits with these colors!
What is the one thing you refuse to share?
My toothbrush.
If you have free, unlimited service for 5 years from an extremely good cook,chauffeur, or masseuse, which service would you choose?
I like to cook myself and do it quite well, I don’t need a chauffeur, but a private masseuse … yes that would be it! I would enjoy that so much!
What would your theme song be every time you walked into a room?
I am what I am – Gloria Gaynor
On a scale of 1-10, how lucky do you think you are?
I am very lucky in my life. I read a quote recently : Happy are not those who have no worries, only those who live positively with things that are far from perfect. I am a very positive person, so I would say a “8-9” mostly, but I’m working on a 10.
