We’re happy to introduce the next Our Gal Friday to you!
I am Olya, aka Jasmin-Olya Designs. I am 39 (I am afraid to say “almost 40”, OMG!). I live in the Ukraine with my son and husband. I am a photographer in real life. As you can see, both my “jobs” are very creative despite the fact that I received a technical education. I always loved to draw, but in choosing an education, I thought it was not serious to be a job. So we love to joke that creativity caught me up through the years. Do you know the phrase: “Choose the job that you really love and you will never work”? This is the same story :))) . I take energy from my work! Photography and digiscrap came to my life in 2004 and starting in 2009 I am a proud designer at PBP! Wow! This is a whole life! It’s funny, but I think that everything was started by my mother, from my birth. How? My Mom made albums for me and my sister. It was not scrapbooking, but Dad took pictures of us on a film camera, then they did all this magic with developing the film and printing photos in a dark room with a red lamp. And the most interesting: Mom made little “notices” in a special book about how we grew: first steps, first words, small but interesting events, stories. In other words: she was writing my childhood story! It was so cute when we had no cellphones with cameras to have something from my childhood! I love this album and book. So it was natural that when my child was born, I started doing something similar for him in order to preserve his history. I really love to take pictures of him and to make photobooks with stories and memories. It is soooo cute to read those stories after years! So in my case scrapbooking is not “just for beauty”. It has a much more true and important mission: to keep a story :))

What is your most unusual talent?
I can wiggle my ears =))))
If you have free, unlimited service for 5 years from an extremely good cook, chauffeur, or masseuse, which service would you choose?
Masseuse. Can it be unlimited for life? Why only 5 years?
What Disney character are you most like?
I loved the Little Mermaid very much when I was a child.
If you could have three wishes, what would they be?
Peace, health, money, lol. And something sweet… May be it is corny and predictable, but it is true. Peace, because I want to face the future with confidence. Health, because a little glitch in our body can make a big problem for our life. We’re so fragile. Money to forget to think about them and enjoy the life
What do you think of garden gnomes?
I don’t think about them. At all.

ANJA_77 (Anja)
I’m Anja, aka Anja_77. I live in Belgium, the Dutch speaking part. I’m married and the proud mother of a wonderful daughter, Lana. I’m 44 years old and work as a psychiatric nurse. I love traveling, photography, taking walks, swimming, sauna/steam room, watching movies and dramas, etc.
I discovered digital scrapbooking in 2008 when Lana was born. A whole new journey started as a magical world opened in front of me. I learned taking baby steps… first using Corel Paint Shop Pro and following lessons on digital scrap forums. Later on, I tried my skills in Adobe Photoshop CS6, and over the years I have been privileged to work with many designers. The “digi-world” is such a warm and friendly community, and I have built close friendships that I cherish with all my heart. I’m now a creative team member for lots of amazing designers and I totally love it!

What is your favorite color (or color combination) that you just love to scrap with?
Turquoise, with marshmallow and grey tones are my favorite colors, I also used them at home for my interior
Do you work outside the home?
Outside the home, I work as a psychiatric nurse in a psychiatric hospital.
If you could learn any skill in the world without trying, what would you choose?
The ability to pick up any language after hearing it one time.
Do you have any pets?
We have a cat named Skylar. Skylar is a stray cat that we adopted when she gave birth to kittens in our garden house. She was still very young, not even a year old. So we took care of her, looked for a home for her little ones and of course gave her a home with us. She has been with us for 2 years now. We are happy to have her!
What’s the last thing you watched on tv?
Nevertheless (Korean drama). I am addicted to Asian drama’s. I started with The Descendants of the Sun (Korean drama) and after that drama I was unstoppable and watched many Korean, Chinese and Japanese dramas. I just can’t get enough of them.
