I am Nathalie, aka “Simplette”. I live in the south of France, on the Spanish border, in a mountainous and sunny region. I have been designing digital scrapbooking kits for fifteen years now. I am also a freelance graphic designer for companies (creation of logos, graphic charter, visual communication) and for individuals (creation of invitations, decorative elements…).

DESiGNER Q & A

How did you become a designer?
I fell into the pot quite quickly… I’ve always loved photo editing, drawing and layout, and I’ve always created montages with my photos… As soon as I learned that the digiscrap existed, I dived! First I created embellishments for my own photos, and as people around me liked it, I made kits of them.

Where do you find your inspiration?
Inspiration comes from all sides. A photo, a landscape, an image, a flower, everything is a source of inspiration. Very often my next collection is decided when I am finishing the first one, because a combination of two elements has projected me into another universe…

What does a typical day look like for you?
The morning is more devoted to reading and writing my emails and administration. Then, mid/late morning, I work on my designs until lunch. The afternoon is for outdoor meetings. And in general I’m on the computer all late afternoon and evening, for inspiration, creation or just hanging out and watching series…

What type of packs is the most fun to design?
I love creating the embellishment packs and clusters. It’s the moment of revelation when I’ve finished creating a collection, I like to see how things fit together to form harmonious wholes. My intention is always to facilitate your layouts as much as possible and that by placing each element you feel like an artist.

Name one thing that you cannot do without when you are designing.
My headphones on my ears!
