I’m a wife, mom, grandma and a new GREAT-grandma. Yup, I’m getting old, and loving almost every minute of it (I may not love the achy knees or those sparkly gray hairs that are showing up! *grin*) I spend a lot of time running the PBP website and enjoy “most” of that. I love spending time with my family. We’re helping to raise grandkids that love playing games. Favorites right now are Spot-It, Taco, Cat, Goat, Cheese, Pizza and RUMIKUB! My hubby and I love traveling, riding our bikes and just enjoying the beauty of nature!

DESiGNER Q & A

Why did you become a designer?

I have always loved art. My parents let my sisters and I paint our windows for holidays when we were kids, and Mom always had us working on some kind of craft projects. Later, after I had a young family of my own, before digital scrapbooking was a thing, I took a tole painting class. I loved having a paintbrush in my hand and started painting sample designs for my Mom & Dad’s woodshop. After doing that for a while, I started designing my own painted projects, and that kind of evolved into publishing my own designs. I worked with Provo Craft for years, designing and publishing painting books. When tole painting lost some of it’s popularity, the company pointed us toward scrapbooking as the next big thing. So, I started designing papers and stickers and that grew into designing for several companies in the paper scrapbooking industry. When that market slowed down, it was a natural move to go to digital. I’ve spent my entire adult life creating and have loved almost every minute of it!

Please tell us which of your products in your shop is your most favorite and why?

My favorite product is usually the latest one that I’ve created. So, naturally, I LOVE BOOMERS (hey, I AM a Boomer, so I have to embrace it!). But, aside from that, I LOVE summer, and love drawing goofy little characters, so The Deep End is one of my all-time favorites!
