Journaling: 3/18 I had surgery on 2/3 to relieve some swallowing issues. I have been recovering
slowly, more slowly than I expected. In conversations with my surgeon I came to understand the complexity of this surgery & recovery. I am now cautiously optimistic that I am healing & that it
will continue for the next few months. My swallowing is much improved, but the surprising thing was the loss so far of 20 pounds. I'm not sure how permanent it will be, but it mostly feels good.
