Journaling: Usually when a student switches grades, it is at the end of the school year. Now, I already know that Alex isn’t your regular student, but I also know that he’s not really the self motivated type, either. Carpe Diem allows the students to work at their own pace, so if they want to get ahead, they have to use their own initiative. Somewhere, Alex located the willpower and decided, “hey I can do this in half of a school year, so I am going to!”
Needless to say, mom, dad & even Ian are so proud Not only did he move from 8th grade to 9th grade, he was the first student at Carpe Diem to do so!
