It was early this morning that the boys discovered the triplet
additions to the herd. Sometime during the night, one of our nanny
goats gave birth. The babies couldnt look less like each other, but
we do have several breeds going on in the herd, which long ago
devolved into mutts. They are sweet, and cute, and are born
tame. We aim to keep them that way, so that two of them at
a time can pull our goat cart. Ideally, we should bottle-feed them
and put mama back out to pasture, but at least for now, we havent
the heart for that. We keep them in a
stall with mama and give her plenty of
grain and hay. We wouldnt make good real
farmers, but we do love to play at it all.
