Yeah, kissing the blarney stone was not what I wanted to do but, my Mom and her friend Peggy wanted me to so I did. Yuck! I already had the gift of the gab. Ireland is a wonderful place, though. I've been twice and want to return if I can.
Journaling reads:
Ireland is an ancient land, one in which the old and new live side by side with modern science and superstition. It is a land of contrasts where sheep and cows have the right of way and know it. Where Guinness is a food group all on its own. Where the gift of the gab comes from kissing the blarney stone. It is full of laughter and wonderful, friendly people ever ready to sing or dance and spin a good yarn. The food is good and hearty - soda or oat bread and Irish Stew warms you to the depths of your being! Musicians and dancers appear in the oddest places, even the middle of nowhere. And hospitality has been the law here since the dawn of time.
