I had a hard time picking a subject for this challenge and when I thought long and hard I found that if I was wishing for a treasure right now it would be free veterinary care. But I had to put a bit of a whimsical spin on it because a serious page would just bring me to tears.

Some vets say our 13 year old dog is less than a year from end of life, but one specialist feels that could be just a sign of the trend to treat animal maladies such as tumors with human-like treatment like chemo which would make her feel sick all the time. He feels she could have several more years of feeling fine. We are taking his advice and she gets dietary supplements and lots of love and she will get that until she leaves this world. She will be our last dog - we can no longer afford veterinary care.
