For the
04-06 Art of Memories Challenge, et designs provided us with the Fresh Air Mini Kit, and challenged us to "use it all" -- every single paper and item in the kit -- in a single layout.
To create my layout, I started by looking at everything in the kit, and then selected the paper that I wanted as the primary background for my layout. Next, I took the closeup photo, made a copy, and extracted it, so that there's now the photo, the postage frame, and then the extraction on top, so that the woman's head extends over the top edge of the frame. I played with the size and positioning until I liked it.
Then, I took the second photo, and placed it behind the wreath. I created a mask for the photo using a brush, so that it would only show in the center of the wreath. Again, I played with the size and position until I liked it.
At this point, I played with the green paint element until I liked its position. There are four stamps in the kit, representing two designs -- and each design is available in both green and yellow. I positioned the yellow stamps behind the green ones, and offset them just a bit, and then I positioned the stamps on the page.
Next I created a cluster using the flowers, leaves, stems, and buttons. I placed the yellow bead string alongside the postage frame and I positioned the two word strips. Finally, I placed the title: Spring.
