June 3, 2018 - Emma Jo was given a name and a blessing by her daddy today. Usually a baby is given this blessing within their first 3 months. However, there was so much happening in Emma’s family that there never seemed to be the right moment for the extended family to gather to participate. Within the first 11 months of Emma’s life the family moved 3 times and lived in 4 different states: Texas, Colorado, Arizona and Utah. Consequently, Emma was 11 months old when she finally received her blessing. Her mom was a bit nervous about how Emma would react when her daddy carried her to the front of the church and the participating Priesthood Brethren gathered in a circle around her, but sweet Emmie simply laid her head on her daddy’s shoulder, sucked on her pacie and listened to her blessing. We were all very proud of her and we are so thankful to have this beautiful baby in our family.
