FRESH START . . . These flowers are some of my most favorite flowering house- plants. Kalanchoe “Flaming Katy” are succulents and very easy to care for and to keep alive. When they stop blooming, and when the branches start growing long and “leggy,” that is a great time to propagate clippings for new individual plants. That is what I did above. From two plants I propagated thirteen new plants. I’m excited for them to bloom!
FROM TWO “MOTHER PLANTS" 13 NEW PLANTS WERE CREATED TO BEAUTIFY OUR LIVES
KALANCHOE “FLAMING KATY”
1. Make clippings from leggy branches
2. Place branches in small bottles or vases of water to root
3. When roots have developed, plant in soil appropriate for succulents
4. Don’t over water. Soil should almost dry out between waterings.
