Created for Week #4 Show Stopper Challenge – Makes Me Mad.
Journaling:
The ocean is one of the most beautiful, vast, and mysterious parts of our planet. It’s filled with life and wonder, home to creatures essential to the balance of the world, yet it constantly suffers from harm caused by the very people who depend on it. Ocean pollution makes me so mad – it feels like we’re slowly suffocating the earth’s lifeblood, and it’s heartbreaking to witness. Every time I see a photo of marine animals trapped in plastic, I can’t help but feel frustrated and angry. These creatures don’t deserve to suffer because of human negligence. What makes me even angrier is that so much of this pollution could be avoided if people were more mindful of their actions. It's devastating that we continue to throw plastic into the ocean, knowing full well the damage it does. I want to scream when I think about how much plastic ends up in the water, from the bottles we casually discard to the microplastics that infiltrate our food chain. The solutions are so simple, yet they feel like such a distant dream. The change we need is within our reach, but it feels like we’re moving at a snail's pace. We can do better. We have to do better.
