I saw this picture and was immediately drawn to the composition. A pretty girl in a beautiful dress in a lonely area, walking on old steps, the worn walls littered with graffiti and the melancholy look on her face as she looks back. To me it said so much. It was as if the backward glance indicated memories, the beautiful gown, a love, a life that once was, but was no longer as indicated by her surroundings. I looked at this and saw broken promises, memories of things that no longer are, and a face that seemed to reflect loneliness.
