With Daisies - Bellis (pretty) perennis (everlasting) is a perennial herbaceous plant that exhibits heliotropism (the flowers follow the position of the sun in the sky). It goes by several common names: common daisy, English daisy and, because the species habitually colonizes lawns, it is sometimes called a ‘lawn daisy’. The name “daisy” is considered a corruption of “day’s eye” because the whole head closes at night and opens in the morning.
