journaling: Kids grow so fast and when you only see them at Christmas once a year it can be a challenge to buy a great gift. I remember when my boys were first teenagers. We went to my Mom’s house where my 7 brothers & sisters always gave gifts to my kids. My sweet sister-in-law gave them packages of Underoos. They were mortified. From then on we went to my Mom’s on Christmas with a sense of trepidation. I told them “ Just say thank you and we’ll work it out later.”
