Thursday morning (12.28.2017) - On their way home, after Christmas in Arizona, Garrett, Amy, Adam (11), Enzo (6), and Maebell, the family dog, were in a terrifying accident. Their truck, which was loaded down with their luggage, Christmas presents, etc, slid on ice & then off the road backwards, crashing through trees down a 1,000 ft cliff. The aspen tree in the back of this photo caught the tailgate & they quickly and carefully, climbed out the drivers door before it could go further. They clawed and crawled their way, slipping and sliding, up the side of the mountain, over the ice, and made their way down the mountain road to find cell service, with just the clothes on their backs, and Amy’s phone & purse. . .
