The book or journal on the left is the cookbook my mother had all of her life. She took it from Germany with her to Canada when they emigrated (following me, their only child). This is her own recipe book which she had to start when she was attending a 'girl's seminar'. In those days, some families would send their girls to a seminar to learn all about housekeeping, sewing, etc. Everything that is necessary to keep house, lol.


Unfortunately I have had to whiten or block names out, for security reasons. My original and printing copies are preserved with names as they should be.

This is part of my introduction to my Family book which I am creating for my children and family. I have many more in my gallery at DSP and if I see any interest, will gladly move them over here.
