Another item on my bucket list is to go sailing. I can do that here on the nearby lakes, but I really want to sail on the ocean. My dream is to begin in Savannah, Georgia to Charleston, South Carolina to Jamestown, Virginia, to Long Island, New York, and end at Plymouth, Massachusetts. I want to visit those places because my kids had ancestors aboard the Mayflower in 1620, at New Amsterdam on Long Island before 1640 and arriving in South Carolina just after the Revolution. I had ancestors arriving in Jamestown in 1621 and in South Carolina around 1700. I would love to see them from the ocean so I could have some idea of what they saw.
