Jason was just 7 when we moved here.  Our cat had kittens not long after and Jason named this one Scooter.  They were almost inseparable, even at night.  Scooter was a real comfort as we settled into this new life so different from anything the boys had ever known.  Poor Jason, he slept in this pink room with never a complaint.  He had friends over to spend the night and they never even noticed.  He never complained.  The only way I knew it bothered him was one time when he asked if Scooter might like it a different color.  He went to Japan on an exchange trip in 2013 and when he returned he had a bright blue “Doctor Who” room.  His new cat, Sophie, loves his blue room!
