My sister-in-law has a small cake business in our local community.  She makes marvelous, especially tasty cakes.  I’m envious!  I’d love to decorate cakes but have never been able to catch on to just how to translate what’s in my head to my fingers.  Ah, maybe when I retire.
I have a birthday coming up in the fall and, planning ahead, Connie asked what kind of cake I’d like to have.  I asked if she really wanted to open that can of worms and she said to bring it on.  So, these are two of my dream cakes.  There’s actually a Mad Hatter’s Tea party cake that I’m drooling over, but I think I need to let Connie practice on something easier first.  I dare say her granddaughters will reap the benefits of Aunt Susan’s flight of fancy!
