Journaling says:
Teddys story begins the first time that I went shopping at Pier 1 Imports after Andrew was born. He was about a year old. A basket of teddy bears caught his eye. Every child needs a teddy bear and he didnt have one yet,. I handed him a blue bear but he pushed it away and reached for a purple one. He could not be dissuaded, this was the one he wanted. Teddy went home with Andrew and now lives on his bed. He is not carried around, as you would expect with a teddy bear. He lives on the bed and thats where he stays. But, Teddy plays a very active role in the life of his boy, now 6 years old. We frequently hear, Teddy says..... and out comes a story or something that Teddy has done. In times of stress, and there has been a lot of that this past year, we hear from Teddy quite frequently. Whether its about how Teddy handled a bug bite or how Teddy takes care of his sister, Teddys adventures always parallel Andrews life experience. But, Teddy is not a pretend friend. In Andrews own words, Teddys real. Hes my Teddy Bear.
