[Annette Bade, one of the superlative beauties of Broadway in the 1920s and no more pretty girls than even Ziegfeld could bring before the public.] In between the Ziegfeld shows she earned some easy money by playing a walk-on role in the 1920 movie, A Womens Business. She then played a young bride in the 1923 comedy Cold Feet. She was a pleasant, rather than galvanic stage presence. Her winning smile and demure dancing were good for feature credit in revues where visual appeal counted much. She was in the Schubert Vogues of 1924, which made comedian Fred Allen a Broadway star. Her career ended when she married Alfred C. Mace, Jr. I cannot give a short biography for Annette Bade. Nobody could add details about her Perhaps a spy of Greenland! Nobody knows.
