Point Walter is a favourite picnic spot for young familes as it is on the Swan River and has a nice calm beach for the little ones. I was visiting this park with a group of photographers just after a big storm. One of the large branches was struck by lightning and the branch came down, leaving this hole in the tree where this Pink & Grey Galah pair made their nest.
