Welcome to today's Art of Memories challenge!

We're thinking inside the box and scrapping one photo over multiple photo spots, with the most important parts of the photo "highlighted" on the page so they stand out.

This Challenge's Rules:

1 - You must use my products and only my products from my shops for this challenge.
To make it easier, my personal and commercial use shops are on sale, 30% off - today, April 9th, only!
2 - You can only use ONE photo
3 - Use your photo as the background and it must be black and white
4 - You must blend a patterned paper into your background photo (you can blend more than one paper, but there has to be at least one pattern!)
5 - You must "highlight" at least 2 parts of the photo in color using boxes like I did below, or you can use another framing or matte technique.
6 - You must include at least 2 clusters. you can add additional clusters, elements, and/or papers if you'd like.
7 - Word strips, title, journaling, etc are optional, but you may include them if you wish!

For my layout, I decided to use a photo of my dogs and washed it out a little bit using levels

I added a pattern and a solid with an overlay, so that only part of the pattern peeked through. I also lowered the opacity on the photo to blend it with the papers

Once all that was done, I worked on highlighting their adorable faces with mattes - to do this I duplicated the photo and clipped it to the boxes that I added on top of my background. Then I added some paint and a border

My finished layout:

using Season of Renewal (April MOM)

You do not have to use a photo of a person. The subject can be anything, and your highlights do not all have to be grouped together, nor do they have to be squares - they can be any shape you want. Here are some bare-bone examples that I thought about scrapping (and may still in the near future!)

Thanks for the challenge. It was fun as soon as I got through the tedious part of cropping up my chosen photo. Used paper 3 and solid 21 from you Season of Revewal kit and then at the end decided to crop out the rewards and use masks to place them in color on the page.
