Hi!
This is Lou hosting the No Mask? No Problem! challenge this August.
Our lovely designers often include masks in their kits and collections, but in this challenge, we are going to create our own - for those times when there are no masks, or they do not quite fit our photo.
For this challenge, we will create a mask by using at least 3 accent/paint/brush/stamp elements.
To start with, place the photo you are going to mask on your page.
Layer at least 3 "artsy" elements, moving, resizing, rotating them to your needs. Be as creative as you want, use floral brushes for example!
Merge your layers together to create the mask.
Depending on your software, you may have to desaturate the mask before you can use it on your photo as a clipping mask.
(I do not use PhotoShop or PhotoShop Elements, and can use my mask as is)
Clip the mask to your photo. And voila!
Add at least 1 more photo and at least 1 word-art to your page and finish your layout in your preferred style.
You can add some brushes/paints/etc in their original form to your layout after you've masked your photo, but you don't have to.
I lost count of the number of accents and brushes I layered to create the mask for this layout:

Add the gallery link for your layout from this challenge to your tracking post. (Please do not add images to the tracking thread.) That way we’ll be able to easily see who has earned the monthly prize....and speaking of that!

- Layouts must be created with 75% current PBP Designers’ Products. You may use product from any of our active designers. Check designer challenges to see if they offer additional prizes for using their designs exclusively.)
- You may use retired product if it was retired from PBP in the last three months. The retired product can only account for the 25% “non-current” PBP Designs.
- Upload your layouts to the PBP Gallery (be sure to select PBP Team Challenges as one of the additional categories that you add your layout to.
- Link your layout in this thread to your gallery layout
