Since it is the season of Halloween for some of us.. What countries do celebrate Halloween by the way??? Do you watch scary movies? What are some of your favorites. What other kinds of festivities to you do for Halloween season?

I am a scaredy cat when it comes to most scary movies.. I hide under the covers or close my eyes.. however I like intense movies and like to go through haunted houses for the most part, as long as they don't touch me!! Since we don't have little kids in the house anymore we don't do the trick or treating etc but we do go to the haunted houses in the area.

I love to do Halloween makeup and tend to a lot of it for my salon and love making latex masks which is always a challenge I love to push myself at each year :)

I used to love scary movies and haunted houses. Lol, I haven't been to anything haunted since we went to a haunted corn maze, and this crazed scarecrow scared the snot out of me. Holy cow...that was the scariest thing that I'd ever seen...and he just kept following and grabbing us....couldn't handle it. My hubby hates haunted houses, so we find other stuff to do for Halloween.

We had our annual family Halloween Costume Party tonight. It was so stinking much fun. My 24 year old son came as Fred Flintstone...such a hilarious outfit, and just perfect for him. We had zombies, ninjas, super heroes, draculas, dolls....you name it. We played Heads Up, and the kids LOVED it. It was hilarious...and I have to say the food was yummy :)

Oh..one of the old scary movies that I liked was called The Changeling (the OLD one...not the remake). I also like intense movies like What Lies Beneath...lol, another one my hubby hated :p

Um... we go to a halloween party at a friend's house; this year will be third or fourth year in a row. We did the goofy ghost walk last year, which I made a layout about, and we're doing that again this year. I don't do a lot of scary movies. I did see that "What lies beneath" but It was so long ago. Lol.

We will take the kids around our neighborhood block, then come home and pass out candy, probably. My toddlers are not up for hours and long hikes in the evening. Lol

I saw Dance of the vampires when I was (too) young and now I'm still afraid by vampires films ! I'm frightenned looking at films like Poltergeist, Rosemary's Baby.... We don't do so much things in France for Halloween, just children are starting to costume now.

We trick or treat in our neighbourhood every year. Some years it's freezing and some it's not because of a late indian summer. Last year it rained and we thought it a bust but we had over 300 kids still in the rain. This year, being a Saturday, I'm sure we will get more.

Scary movies used to be a fave of mine when I was a teen and early 20's. Now, not so much. My BF and I in high school went to see Nightmare On Elm Street and we had to call her brother from a pay phone in the lobby to come walk us to her car in the parking lot!! We had parked at the back and it was by a bunch of bushes..LOL...we were scared out of our minds!

Other faves through the years:

Friday the 13th (the original)
Hills have Eyes
People Under the Stairs
Cujo
Christine
Sleepaway camp

I like more psychological thrillers than guts and gore. But some of these were my faves.

The U.K. Have only really started celebrating Halloween in recent years. We don't celebrate it though.

I used to watch scary films when younger but never do now ... I am a wimp now, but remember being especially terrified of the omen, the exorcist, the hills have eyes etc

We did the Halloween trick-or-treat when our kids were young. Now we stay at home and our granddaughter brings the great-granddaughters over before they go out. Always get a kick of how excited they are about the new costume each year. DH answers the door while I get to read a book and relax. LOL

As for scary movies... used to watch them but they finally got to the point there was too much blood and gore!
Some I saw in the past:

House on Haunted Hill
The Birds
Phycho
Halloween
Poltergeist
The Shining
Cujo
Carrie
The Stand
The Dead Zone
The Exorcist

Yeah, I am a big Stephen King fan - have read a lot of his books, too.
