Thursday Threedom

We’ve had so many amazing challenges in the past few months, so for today’s Thursday Threedom post, I decided to feature three of this month’s Template Challenge layouts. With one template, you can get such an amazing variety of layouts and looks, even though the template has some quite “recognizable” shapes on it!

But before we start with the Thursday Threedom layouts, take a look at this stunning layout that Heather T. created for her challenge. The colors, the composition, that photo and her use of this gorgeous template are just fantastic! Lol, and I just LOVE the title she used…perfection!

This first layout is by one of our long-time customers and challenge participants, lmjrocko. Not only do I love the rotation on the template for her layout, I also LOVE the technique she used with the large photo on the background with the opacity dropped (or blended out). The vibrant photo in the center circle really POPS this page. She chose to eliminate the smaller circles on the template…and it’s just perfect! This layout uses simple elements and a clean title to accent her beautiful photos! This is a real stunner!

This next layout was created by one of our more recent challenge participants, Ana Santos. This layout just takes my breath away. I LOVE the deep, rich colors paired with that bold black and white striped paper. The trailing colors below her clusters lead your eye right to that fantastic photo. Ana removed the largest circle from the template…and honestly, I don’t miss it on this layout. She also enlarged the photo and didn’t use the “photo mat” circle behind it. It’s perfect just the way it is!

Finally, we’re featuring a more traditional layout done by Tina1978. She too, rotated the template and eliminated the smaller circles. She used softer colors and created such a lovely, romantic cluster. All of the individual parts work beautifully together to draw your eye to her adorable photo. This is another work of art!

That’s the beauty of using templates – you can alter them to fit your style and your layout. So there you have it, three layouts using the same template, but they created THREE completely different style of layouts.

You still have a few days left to complete the challenge, so head to the forum and download Heather T’s beautiful template for FREE to create your own layout! Be sure to check out all of the amazing layouts in the challenge thread. They will definitely inspire you as you create your own!
