Some Things Are Unseen

Tomorrow we leave for UCLA to consult with a renowned surgeon who we are hoping will be able to do what local surgeons couldn’t. We have been dealing with my DH's problem for more than 5 months now and 4 weeks ago they cancelled his surgery half way through because 3 different surgeons felt they would cause harm by continuing. I have often felt unseen in all the medical situations over the months and this started as a page about that, but part way through it became a page about the truly unseen “player” in all this. We don’t know the Lord’s plan in this, but while it may be unseen, we trust that whatever it will be will be for His glory and our ultimate good.

This is so heartfelt. Love your page but even more love your journaling, Hope that the renowned surgeon can do something. It is so difficult when our life partner is not well.

Hope that the surgeon can do something - fingers crossed. I am going through nearly the same situation at the moment so I really understand how you feel. Your page is gorgeous and it's wonderful to see that despite all the circumstances, you still find the time and energy to create such beautiful layouts.

I am so sorry that you are dealing with a similar situation. I would not wish this on anyone! It is probably inevitable as we age, but knowing that doesn’t ease the difficulty. We had a new complication on the way down to UCLA, but the surgeon addressed that problem first and then really encouraged us with his confidence that his specialty should be able to fix this problem. No promises, but hope!

I hope everything turns out well for you. It's certainly not an easy time. My husband is having surgery today, and we sincerely hope it goes well. Sending big hugs.
