When we added days into our cross country trip last year it was mostly to see our daughter who’s home had been horribly damaged by the back-to-back hurricanes, Helene and Milton, the previous fall. She asked if we wanted to go anywhere or do anything in particular other than visit my cousin who lives a couple of hours’ drive from her. Our reply was that we just wanted to spend time with her. So we stayed in our air conditioned motel room in the heat of the afternoons and just talked and played together. It was the best part of our visit! - nothing earth shattering happened, we just enjoyed being together.
