Adult Coloring

Ok.. I feel like I am the last one on the train... just discovered that these are the THING to have ... who else has them.. what do you got and what do we all HAVE to have.,,, SPILL THE BEANS GALS!!!

Not the last one - I'm not there yet! But I would like to hear what we need to start this - I haven't been able to get out of my winter blahs lately, so I think I'll try coloring. Seems like a rather easy start up and one that doesn't require lots of money.

Oh, man, it's a thing. My first coloring book was Secret Garden by Johanna Basford, I now have all three of her's and a couple of sayings. Depending on the book, I use gel pens, colored pencils, or felt markers. I usually end up coloring very early on the weekend when my 3 year old wakes up before everyone else and when my eyes are too tired for the computer.Here's the latest one I posted on my instagram:

I bought several books at Michaels for my oldest granddaughters and have loved coloring with them. It has also inspired me....be watching my shop for my February Pickle Barrel release

I purchased a few around Christmas too, as well as a bunch of coloring and painting supplies. I think we should have an online coloring party! lol

I started coloring in my first book this morning while I was watching a little tv this morning.. was pretty relaxing and definitely quite destressing!! I went on ebay yesterday and found quite a few for a really good deal.. I also got the Secret Garden by Johanna Basford set of three on ebay for $17 which was a killer deal since I found them for $15 a piece this weekend at Barnes and Nobles. I also bought another book "Joyful Inspirations" and Adult Floral Stress Relief..

Jill Walls did point me in the directions of the "swear word" one.. now that one is one some should look at ROFLROFL

I have heard that it has done some good things in that direction from a few designers.. can't wait to see !!

there are some that can be quite pricey and others that are great deals.. look for some good prices at ebay and amazon and there is one that my daughters mother in law posted on my fb page called bookoutlet.com that had some good discount prices as well.. Also Michaels, if you have a store by you has some and you can use your 50% off coupon there

Oh, I love that one, Lost Ocean is pretty neat too, but I've only colored one or two pages.

that is one of the ones that is coming from a bulk purchase I got on ebay.. all three of hers was there for $15 .. I was very excited.. can't wait!!

so I have spent the last 2 days for about 30 minutes just taking some time to relax and color.. last night while hubby was watching his "Hannity" and then this morning right after the kids went to school and I didn't want to crawl out of bed quite yet. I am about half way through one of the pages.. this is pretty fun!!
