I have to say that one of my favorite roles that Colin Firth has played is in the Bridget Jones movies....LOVE him in those. But then again, I love almost everything he's done!

I have to agree with you Debora - Tom Hanks was amazing in Philadelphia! I need to see him in Captain Phillips...that one's at the top of my list for Netflix I have loved most of the movies that he's been in.

I've really been into history/war dramas lately (not the blood & guts kind). I just watched an older movie (1997) called Paradise Road about a bunch of women that were held in a Prison in Singapore by the Japanese during WWII. Not the best movie I've ever seen, but it really gives you some insight into what was going on then. I recently read "Unbroken" which is being released as a movie this year - I don't think I could handle watching it. I had to keep putting the book down because it was so disturbing....unbelieveable what humans can do to each other.

I've been reading and watching movies about slavery & more currently, civil rights for blacks. I just watched The Butler - lol good movie, but I thought the ending was a bit weird. I'm reading 12 Years a Slave right now. Gotta finish the book before I see the movie!

I love just about every genre. Movies are out thing around here. 12 years a slave was fantastic! Have you watched it yet? I also love Tom Hanks, especially with Meg Ryan. One of my favorite movies is the sappy sappy You've Got Mail

Star Wars is on the top of my list; I never grew out of it. And then there's Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Twilight, Leap Year, Divergent, Boondock Saints, Star Trek (not the new JJ Abrams' reboots), National Treasure, Indiana Jones, The DaVinci Code, etc. I'd be here forever listing movies. ROFL
