Newbie from Oregon, USA

Hello, I'm new to all this and am excited to participate when I can and learn. I have loved Pickleberrypop and saw your forum so I thought I'd try to participate. I married my highschool sweetheart 45 yrs ago. We had 6 children (5 still living) and have 17 grands. I've been in the digital world for around 20 years and there is always something to learn. I look forward to getting to know more of you and seeing what I might be able to do here. Thank you for allowing me to participate.

What part of Oregon do you live in? We often have family reunions in the small towns around Portland, then spend lots of time at the coast. I live in Northern Utah with my Dutch hubbe, and have 13 grands and 1 great grand. SO much fun!

I live on the Oregon coast in dairy country. I grew up in Gearhart and loved it there. I never wanted to move but it was move or divorce lol

Lol, probably a good choice. We've travelled all over Oregon, and love every bit of it. We usually stay in Newport or Lincoln City on the coast to go whale watching, and then head south to Gold Beach to do the Jet Boat Tours. So far, that's our favorite thing to do in Oregon. But, we have ventured a bit further north and toured the Tillamook Cheese Factory and the gorgeous area there. You live in a beautiful part of the world!

Hi Deanna - welcome to PBP. I live in Beaverton, so we're practically neighbors....lol....ok, about 2+ hrs apart. Since you said you moved from Gearhart, which is a great little town, whereabouts are you now on the coast? I always get a chuckle that Faye @Fayette has travelled and seen more of Oregon than I have....and I've lived here for over 40 years....lol

Oh you are certainly close! Beaverton has grown so much. I prefer not to have to go past 185th on hwy 26 lol
I'm at the end of hwy 6 in dairy country

That's kinda where I was picturing 'dairy country' since I used to go that way all the time to get to Rockaway! And I hear ya about that darn growth!! I live on the south end of Beaverton near Roy Rogers where the construction is off the charts!
