I was just thinking that it would be really fun to have a few random getting to know you games so we can find out more about each other and maybe find someone here who loves the same sorts of things (apart from digi-scrapping) that we do.....................

So here we go with the first topic -

MOVIES

Tell us a bit about your favourite movie/s or movie genre, and maybe a bit about what you like most about it or them, and if you are looking forward to any particular movies being released soon.

anything Disney Pixar because nobody does animation better
and I do so me a good sci-fi or sword and sorcery type movie!

At the moment I am looking forward to Breaking Dawn ... because I do so love me a nice buff love lorn Shape-shifting hottie ... and the vampires are a bit of all right was well LOL

This is my kind of thread! I am a HUGE movie buff. I own over 500 movies! ;)

I mostly love comedies. Some of my faves are:

Austin Powers - the whole trilogy
Ace Venturas - really any Jim Carrey movie though
Hmmm...I also love Ghost Rider
Tons of Disney/Pixar
Rush Hour - all three
City Clickers 1 and 2
Whew....there are so many more but, I don't want to bore you!

and I just like them because they take me away from reality and any sadness I may have going on. They make me happy and laugh.

Oh woe is me. I told you my life is so boring. I haven't seen a movie of any sort for about 18 months.
Gasp!! Horror!! Shock!! I've even had New Moon since it was released on DVD and haven't even watched it yet. :p And I do LOVE them vampires.
Well then again I only watch tv late at night when I can't sleep.
I would love to find the time to watch some good movies.
I scrap too much. ROFL Far too much I'm thinking.
Horror are my faves. Then comes a good comedy. Dislike mushy chick flicks.

Pathetic is not a word that would ever come near you Julie!

You are such a prolific scrapper and amazingly talented.

Well I LOVE movies!

We don't go to the movie per say ... costs too much! Though I splash out and take the kids to the $5 kids flicks on school holidays.

But each weekend we get sent two Quickflix movies and they are great! Don't even have to leave the house ... everything online.

LOVE Lord of the Rings too!

Hubby is into sci-fi ... if it dont have shooting and aliens then boring.

I have got used to that.

Love drama, the odd chick flick, love kids movies! My list goes on and on ...

Last night we watched Agora ... really sad. Tomorrow night hopefully Lincoln Lawyer.

I'm with Amanda on the Twiglight series, I already have my ticket booked to see Breaking Dawn on the 18th November, can't wait!

I also like Harry Potter and read all the books too.

DD did take me to see one of the Saw films, but that was a bit much for me! I told her, I don't mind watching them at home with her on a DVD as I can do the ironing at the same time lol! am I a scardy cat or what!

I'm a big Netflix Fan. Before Netflix, I was like Julie, rarely watched a movie. Now I get them every week, and love it.

I just watched Tangled with my grandkids for the first time the other night. LOVED that movie...I think I might have a crush on some of those characters....loved the animation in that film!

I have to say that UP is one of my all-time favorite animated movies...love Mr. Fredrickson :)

One of my all-time favs is "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" Talked all the way home from the theater after that one (and hey, the drive was an hour long, so we REALLY liked it).

I love comedies, dramas, romantic, even action & sci-fi - it just depends on my mood. LOVED the Lord of the Rings movies. I used to love horror movies, but the older I get, the less I like being scared into a heart attack *snicker*

And I know..this may shock some of you, but I LOVED Avatar. I put off seeing it coz I thought it just wasn't my thing. I was wrong. I now own it :p

I figured that's what it was, Helen. Gotta love getting movies when you want them without going anywhere, huh?
