Here's mine. Those are the only pictures I have in hand of my grand parents.
May unfortunately this happens so often because we simply do not ask the older members of our family for information about their backgrounds and then it is too late. There is so much information on the net now though and if you ever become seriously interested in finding your roots it is much easier and way cheaper than it used to be. It is always lovely to see your beautiful smiling face and I can see both your parents in your face. How interesting that your paternal grandparents passed away on the same day, same month but different years. Loved your journaling and your gorgeous clusters with the ribbons adding extra interest. Thank you for participating in the challenge.

I blurred the names for privacy, but here's a little bit of my family history.

Sharon how very interesting - I didn't realize that marriages were arranged in Lebanon. Loving your composition and your journaling - your clusters are so sweet and I love the little heart stack. Your Family Tree card is lovely. Thank you for participating in the challenge.

I played a bit with this theme. Since we grew up near the beach, I used @Fayette's beach themed kit, Ocean Avenue
It is strange how many of us go back to the place of our roots. Unique layout for the Family Tree theme and the fresh way you have set out your page is lovely. Great elements and lovely photos. I bet you had fun and a smile on your face as you named each creature. Was it random I wonder or is their some 'inside' knowledge attributed to each chosen animal. Thank you for participating in the challenge.

Journaling reads:
My Grandparents on my father's side immigrated from the United States of America.
I didn't really know them very well. He was one of 11 children.
My Grandparents on my mother's side were Dairy Farmers in Delbourne, Alberta.
I loved spending time at the farm because there were lots of animals.
I was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, and have 4 siblings. My father owned a trucking company, and my mother was a teacher. I am the middle child of 5, and I have 2 children, 4 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
Oh I know Red Deer - what a beautiful place. No wonder they loved spending time there. Alberta is such a gorgeous place. I love your embossed tree and the little elements upon it. Great photos too and I am sorry that you have lost a sibling. Your journaling was interesting to read and I love how you added the details of your family. Thank your for participating in the challenge.

Thank you for this challenge - it was thought provoking , interesting and fun

What a handsome couple your parents made. Interesting journaling - your Dad and his brother both born on the same day, years apart. Two of my nephews (my brother's sons) were also born on the same day in March years apart. Your Dad must have been quite lost when your Mom died after such a long and loving marriage. Beautiful family photo and it suits the round frame perfectly. Beaut composition and lovely tree in the background. Thank you for participating in the challenge.

Thanks for the challenge!
Oh you have some lovely family photos. Gorgeous extraction - love it! It is so nice to see photos with a lot of family in it and to see that you have photos from different generations showing the large families. Lovely background tree and delightful cluster. Thank you for participating in the challenge.

Lovely photos - I have never heard the name Eldwyn - I love the sound of it. Loved your clusters and especially the couple in love element. Fascinating that your grandmother drove a model T car. Love the paper you chose and enjoyed reading your journaling. Thank you for participating in the challenge.

journaling of my thought about heritage:

I believe it is important for knowing your family and were the roots of your family grew from being planted as a seed to where the roots were replanted but all help to make us who we are. Though I research and know where my heritage branches. I always love to get a new leaf along the way. Because they make me who I am.

Journaling: My knownledge of my family's history starts about 100 years ago with my great-grandparents; all of them were refugees from Smyrna (back then it was part of Greece; now it is called Izmir and belongs to Turkey) due to the Greco-Turkish War of 1919–1922. Out of the four grandparents' families, the luckiest has been my mother's mom side, because they were wealthy. The other three families were literally slaughtered at Turkey and only a few individuals managed to arrive in Athens. My dad's father was 4 or 5 years old back then; he arrived in Athens all by himself, he lived in orphanages, but he managed to get a job, get married to an also refugee woman and together they had three children. My mother's parents were born here, and they were the only grandparents that I got to know. My parents got married at a young age, and I consider myself lucky because I have had a happy childhood. What I call my family now isn't very extended. I'm married to my high school sweetheart and we have a beautiful daughter. My father's sisters didn' have any children. My father died 20 years ago, so I'm only left with my mom and my brother from this side of the family. My mother's sister has a larger family; my cousins are just like siblings for me. Their kids are older than my daughter, who is always the little one in family gatherings. I love that my family is rather small but with strong ties, because I know there is always someone there for me...

Went backward and forwards on my version of this challenge. Did the ancestors more than 10 years ago and think I lost most of the photos on one of my crashes before I had a backup service. So mine starts at me as the Parent, Grandparent, and Great Grandparent. Love my family.

Well you could just add this to a wall. Looks fantastic in the framing you have done. The framing is just gorgeous and the tree with the title intertwined looks fabulous. The added elements are just lovely. Love all the photos too. Beautifully created. Thank you for participating in the challenge.

Lovely background paper and beautiful framing on your photos. I enjoyed reading your journaling and you are so lucky to have your Gt. Grandmother's cookbook. Memories of a special grandmother and the pies she made are very precious. I love the crocheted doilys and the sweet flower clusters too. Perfect title for cherished family. Thank you for participated in the challenge.

Oh Cindy so much heartache in your family history. Your paternal grandfather must have been so frightened and confused when he arrived in Athens all by himself. I am glad you have cousins who are like siblings to you and your daughter must feel very loved having older cousins. I imagine tragedy in families does tend to make for closer more loving relationships on those who are left. Knowing you have someone who will always be there for you is what families are all about. I love your tree - it really is a wonderful creation. Thank you for your wonderful journaling and for participating in the challenge.

That is so sad losing all the photos on a crash. It takes time to scan and save so it must have been heartbreaking and frustrating. It is so sad that you have lost your brother - one expects to lose parents at some stage but it is truly tragic to lose a sibling. It must have been awful too when your oldest daughter lost her husband. Lovely photos and I love the way you have set your page out especially the circled families of your sons and daughters. It is rather sad to see the upper left corner when you see your late ancestors. Sweet cluster and I love the word strips you have used. Thank you for participating in the challenge.
