so if you don't like it, it's my fault. gotcha. LOL! i've read drafter and operator already, and loved them immensely ;) they've been on my physical bookshelf since operator came out. i didn't know sideswiped was out until today, and i just discovered that Waylaid is part of both the drafter and the hollows series, but it's not on audible, sigh. guess i'll go amazon diving :p

her Eclipsed Evolution books are really good, too, as is Three Kinds of Lucky.

i might be a little obsessed with her books.... i've been through her Hollows series 6 times now, start to finish, and that's like a 20 book series, lol. the woman can't put out books fast enough for me :p
Wow Jen - that's ALOT of books.....I'm looking forward to reading her. And, YES, I will blame you ;) :kiss2:

I've been listening to the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning. I'm on Feverborn which is somewhere around book 8 I think. I listen to books a LOT. Found it easier because I don't have the patience for physical books anymore. Nick sees me reading and thinks that's his cue to get me on my feet to do... anything else :p ... or watch tv. If I have earbuds in I can't hear him LOL!
I read the some of the Fever series several years ago when it was the featured book in a book club. I was super skeptical because it was not my style, but I loved it and went on to read more in the series. I think that was the point when I realized that I didn't really have a specific genre I like - as long as the plot and characters are good, I can get into almost anything.

I'm reading a few books right now. And by reading I mostly mean listening on Audible. I prefer actually reading on paper, but I don't have the time. I spend a lot of my time cleaning, driving, doing animal care, etc, so it is in my best interest to utilize audiobooks. I do have one on my kindle I read before bed for a bit each night.

Current reads:
The House of My Mother by Shari Franke
Fly Girl by Ann Hood
The Unmaking of June Farrow by Adrienne Young
Gray After Dark by Noelle Ihli

I really liked the Fever series when I first started it, but now I'm just kind of ... blah... about it, which tells me I need a break. So I'll finish the book I'm on and switch to something else for a bit and come back to it later

I've always loved stephen king and dean koontz, and then a friend of mine introduced me to The Hollows and I've been hooked on weres, witches, vampires, and fairies ever since, lol. The Unmaking of June Farrow sounds interesting! *adds to goodreads list*

I'm about 50 pages from the end of mine, and to my surprise, will have to choose another! I have plenty in paper and in my Kindle app, so I have plenty of choices. Hmm. :) I like reading every day.

Just added Hollows to my Goodreads list! It will be my next Audible pick!

I'm almost done reading a book I highly recommend - it's $0 on Kindle Unlimited - called The Collected Regrets of Clover by Mikki Brammer. @AJsRandom - I too, read every day and download tons of KU books. @jenyurko I tried Peri Reed Chronicles and, although I found the book interesting, it was a bit too sci-fi for my taste.... You must've enjoyed watching Fringe, the X-files and shows like that:whip:

Fringe- now there's a series I probably would love! I wonder if it's streaming anywhere?

Currently reading The Five-Star Weekend by Elin Hilderbrand. I'd heard good things about the author and thought I'd check her out. So far, so good! Will read more by her after I read what's piled up on my shelf and in my Kindle app, lol!

Me: I need to read more books in 2025, because my 2024 slacked!
Also me: It's the 17th and I haven't started a book. *sigh*

Keeping this thread open so I can find inspiration (and maybe a few book recommendations)

Same. I'm literally on the last chapter of the Fever book I've been listening to, but life (aka, a new puppy adoption) has gotten in the way.

I was wondering this too because I wouldn't mind watching it again, but the squirrels are many today :p
